Oh wow. Congrats on the growing family Grizz..

gregzz4 07-10-2012 01:34 AM

My mother-in-law, who just turned 87, came by the house for a visit today
She likes all the life in the DT, and the fishies in the QT
Then, when she saw all the sump room gear, she said ...
"I wouldn't put up with that"

She wasn't rude, just made a statement
Not sure if she was meaning the equipment needed, or the gear in the house, but, whatever ...

Old-timers - sheesh

The Grizz 07-10-2012 01:53 AM

I always get the question of "what the hell is all that stuff for?"

Congrats Greg on your newest addition, he sure is handsome!

gregzz4 07-10-2012 04:26 AM

Yeah BBQ season ... it's about time
Last night I scrubbed the Iron racks, burned off the guck, oiled them, heated ...
Marinated the steaks in the vacuum canister for an hour
Woohoo  Excellent meat - I've missed my BBQ

Tonight will be chicken with some of the new La Grille Smouldering Smoked Applewood

Hope it's good flavor  , never tried it before

Yeah summer is finally here

SeaHorse_Fanatic 07-10-2012 05:00 AM

Hmmm, I just live 5 minutes away from you Greg and I bbq pretty much year round in Burnaby.

Used to BBQ all year round Anthony
Got tired of getting wet, never being able to let the BBQ cool down before covering it up, and just plain old ...
Rain

Oh, the Applewood was pretty tasty

The Grizz 07-10-2012 05:05 PM

Finally on my way home today!!! Will be going to see my new grandson & daughter tonight!! Can't wait.

Build a covered pergola and you never have to get rained on while bbqing in the fall/winter/spring.

Grizz, great that you're finally gonna meet your "little man". He's such a cutie.

Flash 07-10-2012 06:01 PM

i bbq'd all winter... -30... I still need my steak!!!!

gregzz4 07-13-2012 01:06 AM

Sea hare scared the crap out of me today

Little guy likes to just 'drop off' of things when it's done climbing
We'll, it must have dropped near a wetside as I found it with it's butt stuck to the nozzle

I turned off the MP10 and, after it floated to the sand, it slowly wandered away
Been a couple hours and it still looks alright

Probably did it just to see me freak

Nano 07-13-2012 01:16 AM

lol those things make me worry to much

jorjef 07-13-2012 01:34 AM

Nano 07-13-2012 09:50 PM

I'm thinking I may have to sell a few softies to make room for a more heavily stocked Sps tank. Now who h ones to sell.. that's the predicament

gregzz4 07-14-2012 02:20 AM

Haha I think it's hot in the house right now ...
I turned on the dishwasher's temp boost while I clean out some stink with bleach and then vinegar
The dishwasher shut down and took an hour to come back on
http://www.leon-concept.com/forum/im...ies/SOLEIL.gif

Sure is nice in the backyard though with some beers ....

Cya later

The Grizz 07-14-2012 02:37 AM

To hot to sit outside, I'd rather sit inside on my new sectional power recliner in the comfort of A/C. A nice cool 15 *c

So much for sitting outside

I just came back in 'cause it looks like the thunderstorm is almost upon us

Guess I'll have to crank up the A/C too and get some of the humidity out of here

Nano 07-14-2012 03:14 AM

... just bought my most expensive coral yet, $80 acro mini colony  so in light of this I am possibly selling/rehoming some softies soon :P

Anyone want some gsp, or hammer coral, or candy canes? etc. :)

Sh*tty. I had this when I was younger it would get so bad I would throw up with each hiccup

reefgirl189 07-14-2012 02:51 PM

Picking out baby names is really difficult this time around. I have a boy name already but the girl one I'm so undecided about.

The best part is there are a lot of really nice names out there but if I know someone by that name and I don't think much of them then that name is now tainted and cannot be used.

Apparently sucking on a lollipop helps cure hiccups. Apple flavour is best, not sure why... They said it on the local radio station the other week.

I found the worst was people picking names for us. And how persistent they can be. My mom was upset at the fact tht I named my boy Titus mannix. But the way I see it is they had there chance when they had kids. I tried to names kids so there wasn't a boatload of that name when they are growing up

I'd say you probably accomplished that.

Yeah, I agree. I haven't heard of either of those names before.

I'd be killed (but designing s frag tank with left over glass I have ..shhhh) besides I have to finish this one but I'm waiting on a few things and drawing out the hood design. Extra real estate is awesome and just can't see a lot of it due to microbubbles...Damn skimmer a have a few frags waiting to be placed tho.

bauder1986 07-16-2012 07:59 AM

Caught a little frog today, fed it to the tank! Fish loved it and the corals are happy to have fresh food

A large (Tbsp) spoonful of white sugar makes them go away. Not as easy to swallow all at once as you'd think but works every time.

Delphinus 07-16-2012 04:28 PM

The Canadian military tank on display at the Stampede this year ate my work cell phone. Bumped it off my belt at the hatch and it fell all the way down to the floor and underneath the turret turning gear. The only way to get it now, I'm told by the Sergeant of the troop who was there, would be to lift the 26-tonne turret off the vehicle base. I'm guessing I won't be seeing my phone back.

You could hear a cheerful little ring tone coming out from under the floor when you call the phone.

I can't wait to explain this one to my IT department ...
