1.5hrs of cutting, soldering, and tracing wires

And the pos alarm is finally out of my suburban. I wish people who don't know what they're doing would not touch vehicles

Most of the connections were twisted together and taped instead of soldering

None of the power windows, locks, tail lights, heated seats, stereo and 4wd worked before

Now everything works

Now to find out if I have to pull my diff apart to fix the 4wd...

Then all I have left is a few lock solenoids, mirrors and 4" lift a big huge custom front bumper and some subs so my wife can crank the tunes

Oh and a brake controller so I can tow my 4x4.... Once I finish/decide what to do with he fuel system

I refuse to have a vehicle with an aftermarket alarm or car started. Over the years every vehicle my family has had electrical problems due to those installs.

Car starter *. My personal opinion of course. Sounds like you are well on your way on your project.

All because I totaled my Audi that I was gonna give my wife :(

My old truck used to start on its own... Randomly...

Luckily it's not hard to remove a auto starter or alarm, just time consuming

Sad to hear about a crashed audi.

For us the vehicle could start remotely but not with the key. Pain in the a**

Or the usual dead hood sensor would prevent everything from working.

If only Automobile companies were allowed to make DECENT autostarters, then these issues wouldn't take place! I just got an F-150 and the autostarter won't even work from my office, looking out the window, not even 75m from the truck.

Sad thing is my suburban only has 170000 km on it which IMO is very low for a 1998

The Audi was 100% my fault tho, I had just finished putting a new turbo in it and decided to drive it to go get parts for the abs and new tires instead of taking my minivan

been there before, nothing like random sized house marrets to butcher the dash of a 4x4 (my experiance). Glad you sorted it out.
