Hulk Torch Coral

Hi all..

I was just wondering how far away does my Feather Duster have to be away from my Hulk Torch Coral so it dosn't get stung?? Now there is about 4 inches when they are both open..

Here's a pic...

IMO, you should be fine

Hulk torch huh? Is that how they market green torches now?

Distance is fine. Worry if the green torch starts sending out sweeper tentacles that can reach 6".

If it does send them out, it will be at night.

I have 2 hulk (green) torches, 1 hammer coral and 1 frogspawn coral. I keep hearing about these sweeper tentacles but have never seen it. I have even snuck up to my tank (in the middle of the night when i have woke up) and quickly turned the flashlight on and have never seen it.. Do they only come out once in awile, do they disapear fast? Any info would be welcome..

Thanks..
Bill...

Well, I was just sitting here watching my tank, watching the feather duster come out and its head fell off!! Guess I don't have to worry about it any more..

the feathers will grow back and its a very interesting thing to watch

as pinkreef suggested, your feather duster may grow its feathers back. Don't give up on it just yet! Feather dusters are notorious for this. However, there is also a chance that it may not grow its feathers back and will die. You will know that it is dead or dying if its brown tube starts to disintegrate.
