Volcano Shrmp?

Does anyone have experience with these Hawaiian Volcano Shrimp?

Will they multiply like crazy and become a pest later?

I figure they look kinda neat and would add some interest to the tank...

I highly doubt that you'd have that problem. For anything except aiptasia, you have to specifically try to succeed at reproducing them. Eggs/larvae get eaten long before they have a chance to grow up. The way that I always look at it is if you get something to breed in your tank it's a nice little bonus of free food for the critters.

That all said, I have no personal experience with these guys, so take what I just said with a grain of salt.

Well maybe not so much in them reproducing (although I've read that they are fairly easy to breed), but I guess if I have like 10 of them, the molted shells may be all over the place...

Believe they are Brackish as well. Not sure if people have kept them in reef tanks yet. I have heard they bread quit well. They are also really small. Smaller then a sexy shrimp. I believe the idea is to bread them for food for Seahorses and other fish to eat.

Yeah, wouldn't put them in anything bigger than a nano unless u put in a huge swarm for vacation food.
Poor things look like fodder. lol.

Need species tank. I've added quite a number in a little nano by themselves, but not seeing them as much as I thought I would. I think they hide inside the rock most of the time (very holey rock).
