Nori

Who feeds it and how often?

Is it true that you can buy this stuff in Asian markets for a fraction of the cost?

The Guy 12-24-2015 06:16 AM

I feed it everyday my tang, coral beauty and the blennies love it.
I buy the unseasoned plain dried nori at Asian markets, and it is pretty cheap for a big package.

Yes, you can buy it for cheap at the Asian markets. Just get the sheets that are pure Nori with no seasonings or additives.

Aquattro 12-24-2015 09:50 AM

You can buy it at most grocery stores.

Good to know, Thanks everyone.

So I've bought a bag of sushi nori at the market.
The ingredients listed are plain dried seaweed. I called the distributor and they've assured me that there are additives or anything added to this product and assured me it's plain dried seaweed.
That being said I'm still hesitant to feed it yet.
Any thoughts?

Yup, you're paranoid :) It's fine, most of us have been using it for years.

The only nori I know of that is bad is stuff from costco that is combined with grape seed oil.
If ingredients say dried seaweed, feed the fish. They're hungry.
