SPS bleaching question

Hi there, I've got an Emerald Sky SPS coral and I moved all the spa corals up from the bottom of the tank on top of the rocks. I was told that this coral likes bright light and it is a 5 inches below the surface. I use sun brite LEDs for lights. Only this coral has gone white at the top tip. Has anyone else experienced this? Ive moved him down to the sand bed for now.

Any help would be great.

Move them slowly up. Maybe a third of the way each week

Have you got a picture? white on the tips could be new growth

What I do with new frags (if this is an option for you) is put them on my magnetic frag rack and move them up a few inches each week. Or you can just move them up the rock work the same way

The colour doesnt seem very emerald either. Do you think it is sick? All of the other sps corals have their polyps out. I've moved it to the sand bed now too.

I've had an ich infestation and I've been treating with Herbtana for a week but I don't think that there was a change once I started treating it.

Sorry to say this Dude,

But the frag is RTN-ing I don't think you can do anything to save it

Ya, agreed. It may stop, but probably not.

It mist cases once it starts your hooped. But I've crazy glued over the affected area a few times and while unsightly, its saved the frag. Maybe give it a shot.
