LF 3/4 pvc check value

Curious if anyone has pick one up in town? I see lowes has some on their website but looking to see what else is out there.

Also wondering if anyone is using one and how it effects the flow from the pump?

thanks

I would avoid check valves. They seem like a good idea but really aren't. You should design to accommodate the back siphon if the pump loses power.

I used check valves on my return lines. When I lose power, they just bounce. One day I will probably get motivated and take them out.

You can purchase these and many other hard to find plumbing supplies at Western Pump in the SE.

For an alternate opinion, I've been using the same check valve for 6 years, no issues with it at all :)

It's got a little flapper thingy in it. I guess swing? It's a 1" valve I picked up years ago, I think maybe at J&L. Not sure they carry them anymore.

I've a spare 3/4" union flapper type check valve which I can sell for $20.

It's easily disassembled to clean if required. I used a pair of them on my 120g with no problems at all.

PM me and I'll send you a picture of it.
