Crocea Clam

i just got one today. any tips on keeping it happy and healthy (right now i have him placed in the substrate under halide lighting)

I read somewhere that they prefer to be on a hard surface. I put mine in my rock work but he was just as happy in the sand

i read this too. is it a must to have him on the rock?

I wouldnt say its a must but it is recommended. As long as its getting the right amount of light Im sure it will be fine:biggrin:

thanks!

what luck for me... i just found a small fairly flat price of rock (half a clam shell actually). I buried that in the sand and have placed my clam on top (in the concave contour of the half shell)... should that work??

perfect! thats the best of both worlds lol

cheers

Go

just remember that if you place it on a rock, and it attaches, don't pull it away from the rock :)
