Dolomite in Ca Reactor?

I'm about to set up a calcium reactor and I read on several sites that adding a bit of dolomite mixed into the reactor media will keep the Mg steady. Is anyone using dolomite? If so, where do you get it (in Vancouver)?

Not sure where to get that but Jl does sell magnesium media for calcium reactors

Neomag or zeomag is what jl sells.. Although I dunno if neomag actually works or not. It doesn't seems to be disolving

Does it keep your Mg where you want it?

Do you use it? Does it work?

I used it once, did nothing. I think you'd need a whole lot of it, based on amounts you have to add of other Mg products.

I use a Ca Reactor but have never bothered with that sort of media. It only takes about 1 cup of Mg salts dissolved into my water change water once a month to keep mine up around 1400ppm.

I have a separate chamber for it and yes it bumped it up to to 1800 by accident
