So cool! I have never saw the baby from Banggai Cardinal in a tank before. Definitely neat.

Thanks, but I have no idea how to keep it alive in that little container and I have no other choice :(

He will eat newly hatched brine shrimp and/or REEF NUTRITION TIGGER-PODS from J&L.

You need to feed him quickly or he will die.

You need to keep enough in the water so that he can easily catch them. Change some of the water every day with water from your tank. Put in an airstone

They grow pretty quickly.

The males will usually carry a dozen or more in their mouth. Once he spits them out he will try to eat them if they cannot get away. You may have others hiding in your tank.

it is in feeding container , I put mesh on top of the opening and put sands over it so the water could flow in and out so I dont think I need to worry about changing water on that container , I do 25% water change twice a week. I'll go get tiger pods from J&L .

This is awesome. Best of luck keeping this little guy alive so he can grow!

Even if you are not successful this time, your fish are breeding you will have about a month of the male not eating to prepare. Catching the little guys before papa or other fish eat them is the real challenge.

I have had success many years ago with Bangai. Makes you feel good. Great first salt water fish to breed.

Wasn't able to get clown fish babies to survive though.

This was over 20 years ago when copepods were not available, all I had was rotifers and brine shrimp. I read Martin Moe's book and was all pumped.

Congrats! He looks a bit premature to me. I've raised many batches of them. You can get about 60% of baby Banggai to eat very tiny pellets if you're patient enough. Hopefully you can wean him to pellets and that will be easier for you.

That was right after I catch him from prefilter he was on shock , now he is very active ,I was not able to get tiger pods last night I'll get it if J&L has in stock today. brine shrimp take about two days to hatch hopefully I can get him to eat today.
