Bogus login attempts
 

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but if this is happening to me it may well be happening or about to happen to others..

I've just got an email saying that there have been a bunch of login attempts from an IP address which turns out to be in the Netherlands. (None of which were successful)

The board has temporarily blocked attempts from the IP, but I guess this is a reminder to us all to have strong passwords.

How to tell if a password is strong? If its got so many numbers and letters in it you can never remember it, it probably is...

Your not the first to post about this and probably not the last as to a password it is suggested by most security experts to have 7 digit or more password with at least one cap locked letter and at least one number in it

We get a thread like this every couple weeks. Just make sure you have a good password. I got the failed login attempt email a few days ago too - those bastards can't hack me! :lol:

I'm feeling left out ....
I had a weak password for years and bolstered it recently - still no attempt message

:lol:

I finally got in on the action. I changed my password after the first mentioned attempt.

That's horrible. We can fix that :)
