Canadian Tank
Here are a few shots of the tank. I hope you enjoy.
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...caltank001.jpg This is a Northern Spearnose Poacher. The scales on it are like armour making it very rigid. Its fascinating to watch it move around. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...caltank004.jpg Scalyhead Sculpin and Pygmy Rock Crab sneaking up on it. I had a larger one of these crabs but it started going after the swimming scallops so its been sumped until further notice. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...caltank012.jpg Close up of some Strawberry Anemones. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...caltank015.jpg Rhinocerous crab. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...caltank020.jpg Butterfly Crab. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...caltank049.jpg Grainy photo of my Decorated Warbonnet. Its still a little shy. Matt |
Looks good,
I think you need a Grunt Sculpin in there though :) |

How about a full tank shot.

Do you collect these things or is there a place that sells? Fascinating stuff!

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Yes, a full tank shot would be really neat to see.

Matt, nice shots!! I used to be the Chef at Pacific Shores, have you checked out their tanks? Awesome examples of local cold water inhabitants.

I would love to do a temperate tank, some of the local marinelife is beautiful. Are these Atlantic or Pacific species? I have not seen any of these diving locally except the sculpins.
