Any lawyers on canreef?

Are there any lawyers on canreef? I just want to ask someone who would know what my legal rights are regarding my relationship with my lawyer. You see I told him that I wanted to see any notices of motion or orders to be put through before he signed off on them. He became angry and said that "that is a waste of everyone's time" and that I should just trust him. (Even though he had signed off on things before that I did NOT want nor agree to.)

My mind keeps telling me this just can't be right, he can't do this...can he?

I thought that a lawyer was supposed to work for you and ask you what you wanted and make sure you got what you wanted, and that you had a legal right to see all documentation before it was put through court....

Anyone????

Fire his ***!

Fire his *** and get a new one. He is your employee and he MUST follow your direction..... and charge accordingly :)
No, I am not a lawyer, I have had my days in court though!
Cheers,
Phil

I'm not a lawyer, but if you get anything resembling legal advice on an open forum, run the other way. The yellow pages are full of 'em.

Your best bet would be to contact the Alberta Law Society, they normally have a number for complaints against layers or to find out your rights when dealing with one.
