Mystery Critter?

So I am up early this morning and I check out my tank and see this guy swimming around, It swims like an eel but I am pretty sure it is some type of worm. Any idea's? I hope the pics are good enough for identification.. Is it harmful or ok?

worm

Ok I think I might see a worm that looks sort of like it..Doesn't say if its harmful or not. I have taken it out of tank and it is gone to worm heaven right now, but it would be nice to determine if it is good or bad..

many worms swim up into the water column to spawn. it's called sperm broadcast spawning; the worm will swim up into the water column to release sperm and let the water current spread the gametes around. my guess is that that is what you saw. poor worm was about to make kiddies and you interrupted the whole wonderful process of life by killing the poor thing. shame on you

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

well he may have had time to do his thing, he was in there for a while and then he swam right into my net. oh well I guess I will know later. Everything in tank looks good but the tank isnt too old. It has only been operational for about a month or so..cycled it for 6 weeks before though.

Epitoke..I thought that was something I used to do in the 70's at concerts. seriously now, I am guessing that this is not something to panick about then as I have only seen the one and the tank is looking good so far. Thanks for all the info it is much appreciated.
