Auction: Salvation Army Fragpack for Fort McMurray, Calgary

Here is another fundraiser for the Fort McMurray fire victims. this time donations to the Sally Ann. Link here: http://www.salvationarmy.ca

Although not a religious guy I think the Salvation Army does good work and the money seems to go for the most part where they say it will.

To sweeten the deal I will match the winning bid with my own donation to the Salvation Army up to three figures.

WYSIWYG: Frag Pack
Starting Bid: $90
Bid Increments: $5
Settlement: Salvation Army Alberta Fire response receipt copy or cash and I will donate that.
End date and time: Saturday May 14, 11:00 AM MST
Shipping: Pickup only.
Location: Calgary S.W.
Description:
1- Pink birds nest, seriatopora hystrix
2- Orenji montipora (with a bit of mystery monti attached)
3- Superman chalice, 1 eye, echinophyllia sp.
4- Green Digitata
5- Green and orange meteor shower
6- Montipora spongodes
7- Green Hawkins acropora echinata
8- Pink pocillipora
9- German blue montipora

A few disclaimers: my system has red planarium flatworms so you will need to freshwater dip to nuke those. Also we have vermitid worms so inspect carefully for those and scrape, crush etc.

There is a 7-day maximum timeline for auctions here at Canreef, but your auction is a fundraiser so we will allow it. Just a note for anyone else noticing. :)

Oh hey Myka that was a typo, it should have read May 14. Probably better if you could change it?

Good on you Soapy! Pack looks great for a great cause. Money to be well spent

Thanks Myka.

Again great idea for having these fundraisers GoFish.

And thanks for the bid Portuguesenrg. Guess I am kicking out money now too.

Looking at the photo I realize the colours are a bit wonky and a few of the corals were cranky from being moved, I will try and get some more natural looking pictures up soon. Haven't quite figured out how to make these blue photos look right. Of course all these corals are easy to find online.

I'll go in for $120 worms or not; let do what we can to help out people in Fort Mac. Thank You for reaching out Soap.

Thanks Reefaddiction. The best way to avoid vermitids is to frag those corals off those plugs and toss the plugs and of course dip and toss the water. Any time you get a coral that comes on a rock it could have a vermitid snail on the rock. They can be tiny. So quarantine is the best in a situation where you do not want to frag or can't. You would wait and see if there were snails/worms?

My vermitids are on every rock so there is no getting them out. Once in a while I just smash the ones that bother me. They are part of the ecosystem that is my tank.
