Hydroids, Now what?

So I noticed these little Sh*ts in my sump today... now what do I do to get rid of them or are they a problem?

Ugh.. I have had these little ****s too.

For some reason they went away and I haven't seen one in a few weeks.

I think they come and go.

I did notice they seemed to dissapear after I started dosing prodibio. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not.

i have them all over my glass, as well as a couple dozen digi's on my rocks. am staying close to this thread. am wondering if i just scrape them off will they just spread and make things worse, or do they have nothing to do with my digitates? sorry this wont answer any of your questions tho Nanomano...

I had a few pop up in my tank after initial setup, but they died off / disappeared shortly there after. Read a few sites and they stated the same thing.

Yeah that's what I'm reading to so far just making sure LOL. Hopefully they die off

I had hundreds on my glass a few months after starting my tank and they disappeared all On their own. They didnt seem to bug anything and only lasted a month or two!

From what I understand, those guys are a pretty normal occurrence at some point in a tank's life cycle. They flourish for a bit then seem to run out of something that they need and all vanish.

There are much nastier hydroids to avoid getting, like the browny orange ones that look like bottle brushes and form massive, unstoppable, coral killing carpets.

Just be glad they are not the hard tube hydroids :(
