Purple Tang, Scopas Tang and Yellow Tang?

Hi Everyone,

I have a Scopas Tans and a Purple Tang in my 220 DT. If I added a pair of yellow tang, would I be asking for trouble?

Depends on the personalities of your tangs and how long they have been established for.

I personally wouldn't try it, instead a tang with a different body shape might work better.

yea purple and yellow may not get along, but also they might not have any problem you do have a big tank so .. could be one of those 50 50 shots

I have had a purple and a yellow tang together with no problems, but like said already depends on how long you have had the tangs in your tank already. Of course add the new fish during full tank lights out and also it also help to re aqua scape your rocks just before adding the new tangs so that every one has to find a home again.

I had a purple and yellow together for 2 years, no issues. Until last week. Yellow beat the crap out of the purple, had to remove both.
