That price which isn't an accurate price also includes all the equipment

I assumed that, however you'd be limited on using non vendor gear in it, and would still come close. Even if that price is 40% too high, it's outside of affordable for most people I know. It's nice, but it's a sump :)

It's probably still cheaper than a Royal Exclusive Dreambox.

Looks well thought out but I'll agree that the cost is paying for the video production

Agreed

I assure you, it wasn't :)

do people seriously pay that much for sumps????

i know I dont have the nicest tank in the world but I feel a sump while benfitical doesnt make or break a system. I really think a skimmer once you hit about $300 mark your paying for the longivity of the pump not so much the "better" skimmer and a return pump the same thing.
a couple cheep reactors and filter socks and clean plumbing?
my 40 G sump was $75 and IIRC $20 for glass baffles 350 for a skimmer 350 for a return pump and $50 in PVC for it. couple reactors $100.
hell $3500 is more than most peoples full set ups before livestock.
I hate being poor:sad:

Sad to say I've prolly spent 10K on my 75g setup, but I see your point.
A sump is a $500 venture for the better setups, and $150 for an el-cheapo unit.

It's $2500 USD shipped and include all the plumbing (fancy red pipes, fittings, conversions, silicon adapters, etc). No announcement on CAD MAP yet.

And it's not a sump, it's an entire filtration system. Anyway, the product is a fanboy's dream, not a budget savvy solution.

I'm going to kindly disagree with you here. Having seen what the industry is like in the States and abroad, I'm fairly confident in saying that a serious setup down South bears very little resemblance to what we see on the boards.
