did you ever buy one of these, i have been looking at them as well, im on my first saltwater tank and im looking to automate as much as i can.

I think it was reef builders who did a pretty good review of them. Check it out for the pros and cons. Being an arduino they are really easy to tinker with and modify. If you are handy enough you could build your own for cheaper and use their software (free).

Yup ended up with an apex too but looks like a great unit but neptune has the edge for sure

I'll be tagging along as I don't have a controller yet and this unit seems promising and cheaper.

i like the open source idea of the RA and it seams like the main unit and the add ons are a bit cheaper than the competition. as im new to salt water i wouldnt know the difference between this and a higher end unit anyway

The poorer the instructions, (if they're in german that helps too) the higher the cost.
