There is a lesson here Tony... don't be that guy who wears his cell phone on his belt.

Delphinus 07-16-2012 05:28 PM

Haha. I guess. Although to nitpick technically it wasn't on my belt. It was just clipped to the outside of the pocket. I was carrying all kinds of crap for the kids (they end up getting lots of stuff at these things, crayons, notepads, pens, etc) and was tired of the feeling of overfull pockets .... *sigh*

The only way to get it now, I'm told by the Sergeant of the troop who was there, would be to lift the 26-tonne turret off the vehicle base. I'm guessing I won't be seeing my phone back.

You could hear a cheerful little ring tone coming out from under the floor when you call the phone.

I can't wait to explain this one to my IT department ...

I'll keep texting ya Tony....maybe it will irritate them enough to do some turret maintenance:mrgreen:

SeaHorse_Fanatic 07-16-2012 06:33 PM

They probably already have the cell phone out and are using it to send dirty sexting to the Iranian embassy and other "enemy" states.:photo: :bathbaby: :cell: :photo: :Banane28:

Now try explaining those to your IT guys:wink:

Nah!... it would have to be something out of the norm on the phone to cause any real suspicion.

Throughout the day, I will often peak in here to see what's going on, just for a bit of a mental break from work. Today I just need to vent a bit. I had the most obnoxious person stop in unannounced to take a strip off me for following my client's instructions. I respectfully asked him to leave and walked away. And I was having a great Monday as well....ugh.

coral master(greg) he IS sps:mrgreen:

i bet you would have more luck if you posted for a certain type , alot of people dont look at ads unless its something that catches their eye like a name. even throw in some pics from online of what youd like, that would help too.

lockrookie 07-18-2012 07:07 AM

it is better to be humble than to put oneself on a pedestal for all to see you fall.

i read something today (not on here) that made me shake my head. no matter what a person does in life.. hobby wise or everyday life.. there is always someone who can do better than you. but to make ppl feel inferior..cause you have more skills knowledge or proper tools to a trade...does not mean that you are inferior to them in any way. makes me sad. the holier than tho complex has to be one of my biggest pet peeves. may i be for ever inferior..

sorry its a deep thought for the day... on other news im gettng close to nukeing my tank with a calcum reactor

gregzz4 07-18-2012 07:14 AM

I caved today and cranked up the house A/C
I'm tired of being tired 'cause I can't sleep
The house was again over 84 and climbing @ 6pm
It's now a cozy 78 @ midnight, but it's only 74 in my office

Why should only the fishies be comfy

I'm sure the tank heaters will be coming on anytime soon

Can't wait for the Hydro bill in November

I hear ya sister, I work in an industry which is filled with old boys club mentality, from brokers to contractors to presidents of oil companies. I don't care who you are, you have no right to be disrespectful, degrading, or rude.

Flash 07-18-2012 06:06 PM

I am not sure... just by some of the things you said on here made me rethink I had it wrong and you were actually a guy. In my defense life confuses me most of the time...so PLEASE do not take it to heart.

Flash 07-18-2012 07:01 PM

Oh I don't at all don't worry.... it was likely the references I make about my wife telling me NO... and if that's the case... yes that could make me sound male! lol!

Ahhhh... I love living in the country... Waking up and listening to the birds chirping, and the dogs barking at an imaginary coyote at 5:00 AM :big grin:. I'll still take that over listening to the bus that parked in front of our starter home in Ft. Mac every morning for 5-10 minutes. Every day. Or the @$$hat that honked at our neighbour to come outside every morning they carpooled together. Yup, I love the city but it sure is nice to have some degree of peace and quiet now.
