What causes SPS bleaching?

I have had some colonies in my reef tank bleach out? My calcium is 430 and my alk is 9.4. Not all are bleaching out only two in the last couple of days? The PH and Nitrites, Nitrates, and Amonia are all in check. Thank you

Kris

Temp and a lack of flow are biggies IME.

From Doug,s book of coral disease;

"one looks at them the wrong way and rtn is started"

At least thats what it seems like to me. And I have seldom saved one by fragging. Seems to carry on. I like the glue seal trick though, as I used something similar with an iodine treatment years ago, when fragging other types of corals.

My temp is between 79-81.5 throughout the day.
