Mike's Watergarden

I had my whole build documented over on the Alberta Aquatica site. Don't plan on doing the whole thing over again, so here's a few shots from this year....

Honeyberry Patch Flowering

Bog garden on south end of pond, high water overflows into here. Everything's late this year. Marsh Marigold should have flowered late Apr/early May and cattails just starting to come up.

Bio-Filter. Just seeded with Microbe-Lift PL.

And a few from around the pond.

I set up a killer Halloween display each year and have a pile of flood lights that only get used 1 month out of the year. I figured, why the hell not....

very nice mike!

If you're wondering why there is a dead animal (the skull) near your pond, my guess would be the blue water LOL.

Seriously though, is that the water tinting product I've seen in the pet stores? Or medicine ?

It's pond dye, supposed to cut down on the light entering the water and algae. Doesn't work too great, I just like the blue color.
