NOxPO4x dosing with Neptune DOSr

does anyone use a Neptune DOSr to dose Redsea's NO3PO4x,,,
there is a note in the DOSr box saying not to use with methanol...

I was planning to dose carbon and bacteria with the DOS, but like you said they don't recommend to use the pump with methanol , apparently you shorting the lifespan of the pump doing that. Also if u use acrylic container they will crack .
So now I do my carbon dosing by hand

Forgot to mention I use brightwell biofuel, which contain methanol

pump

don't think it's the pump that would possibly wear out...

it's the tubing and pressure fittings that are exposed to the methonal,,,

besides they are plastic and not acrylic..

If they say is fine that's a good news, about the acrylic I was talking about the dosing containers.
I never asked to the Neptune forum cause the instructions for the DOS say to avoid methanol.
I wonder if probably depends also on the quantity in the product

I wonder if you could dilute the nopox like 20:1 with RO and then dose 20 times the volume.

That's what I would do but use a cheep BRS or JL top off pump like 50ml/min.
Since they are like $100 each not $500

cheap doser,, that's what I did ,, bought a Jabeo

calibrated the thing,,, asked it does 1ml 5 times,, and it does 10ml,,
scary...

I got 2 -1.1ml/min shlobster and a 50 ml/min one and they are both basically bang on. been probably 2 years? maybe longer they were around 90-100 each but realistically it doesnt matter if it doses more or less than advertised as long as its consistant you can adjust your on/off time,
i have no problems with cheap jebao power heads in fact i really like them but something as important as dosing, ill spend some extra $$. i tried the magic marine doser 2 motors crapped out in a month or so and I learned my lesson.
