Confused about Super Bowl

I don't know much about football, but both teams are suppose to play, right?

No, one team throws a ball and the other team throws a game and some people make a lot of money and watch some really good commercials.

I can honestly say I have never watched even a partial game of football from any league its like golf both are a waste of time.....

Denver was overpowered by the Seahawks defence! Could be that the Broncos were overconfident in their offensive capabilities.
