Is the vectra worth it for a return pump?

I see all the features of the ecotech vectra awesome in a closed loop System but is it with the high price tank for just a return pump?

I have a jabeo DC now that's been great and is super quite. I half want a vectra but am not sure if it's enough of an upgrade to justify it over the jabeo

If you describe your current pump as "great and is super quite"... I wouldn't change it. Unless there is something very specific about the vectra that you NEED then just be content. Spend the money on corals and fish :)

I knocked almost 1/3 off the cost of my new system but not buying the latest/greatest and brand names for most of my components and can't tell any difference. When you are up near the 5 figures that is a significant chunk of money for livestock.

This is true. Well I'll keep what I have for now. I do some trades with a local store and tend to spurge once I have enough credit built up. I'm up to 150 Ish so not quit there but working on the next splurge. Was thinking the vectra or another DOS.

I think that is relative to what other equipment you have that could use an upgrade. For me, skimmer is #1, powerheads and lights close behind. As long as the return pump operates and is quiet, I'm happy with that. All I want it to do it provide a continuous flow of water, which isn't that hard to do. :D

This is true. Don't need! Maybe a second DOS :).

Haha thanks for the voice of reason

I have actually been looking at the different Jabeo DC return pumps for my 150g build. What size return pump do you have?
