5g rimless nano

Hi guy, i have got this account on canreef for 5 years and finally starting to use it. lol

Had a nano before, but change hobby to something else.
Now jumping back in to see how it will go this time around.

Current spec for the tank include:
5 gal rimless tank ( found in OC )
OC ICE CooL.E.D 27W 14k version.
2 heater, one 25 stealth, and one broken hydor 50. ( looking to change to new hydor 50 after)
HOB AC30 ( not use as refuge)

other than these equipment, nothing will change much other than adding a new nano koralia.

It will probably a mix tank of lps, sps, and some softies.

Here is some tank photo atm

will post update when new stuff is been added.

Cheer
Jason

If you're going to plan on keeping SPS, you're going to need a powerhead in there. A Koralia Nano should do the trick.

Looks like a fun little tank to have, will you hook it up to any other system or is it going to sit free standing?

Awesome!

That is a sweet light. Tagging along for the progress.

The tank will be a free standing system all by itself on it own stand. But i think it should still do fairly well.

It'll be interesting to see what this light can do, but im almost 100% certain that SPS will be more then happy in here.

Also tagging along... I love nanos. I just downgraded to a 5.5 AGA

i too love nano's! i've had my 12g running for 2 years now and will be starting a thread for my 50g build. Some say a larger tank would be easier... easier than it looks..or should that be the other way around

I like your little setup! I am always nervous when I see a tank without a lid though :) I always think: "what if something falls into it?" :)

I have always found it to be less work than the bigger systems, at least from the bigger systems ive seen. But i guess the parameters in a big tank stays more stable thus keeping corals becomes easier. Nothing a little 2 part dosing cant fix on dosers.

Thanks! Nothing to be nervous about if you do it right, the cable thats holding the bulb is screwed right into the ceilings drywall so it there to stay and quite stable unless someone decides to tug on it.
