Any input?
Ideas for application? Designs for piping? Plans are to use this beast for a 90gal reef. Anything else I might need?

It's a Beckett. Becketts are proven, but the Gen-X driving it is relatively noisy and will generate some heat so best to hide it behind a wall if possible. Definintely won't be good in a bedroom.

It's also a good idea to get yourself a waste collector. Beckett's can go wild sometimes!

you can come take a look at how mine is set up sometime. Pm me. I'm in Edmonton. I run a Bullet 3, same thing, just taller.

You can get the owners manual off of their website. http://www.precisionmarine.com/html/bullet-2.html

Heres a picture of my bullet 3 in my stock trough sump if that helps.

Ohhhhh, handy!

Thanks Whatcaneyedo! Why the hell didn't I think of looking for a manual? I swear that is normally the first thing I do. Looks like canreef has turned me into a giant dependent baby! Thanks for spoiling me with the help guys!

The bullet two's kick but. I ran one for two years and works great.

I ran a bullet 2 for a year before upgrading to this bullet 3. Here are some tips on operation:

Get rid of the factory air muffler and either extend the air intake to outside of your home (if your tank has low pH problems like mine) or build a simple but much larger muffler with some PVC pipe and filter floss. The factory one will constantly plug up and is a pain to clean.

Run 1 gallon of fresh water through the air intake each week. Dried up salt spray tends to slowly plug it over time.

Disassemble the injector once a month to clean it and inspect it for blockage.

Once you've gotten the water/air level in the skimmer set perfectly do not touch the gate valve or air valve... ever. it takes a bit of fiddling to 'find that perfect spot' and once you have it its really annoying to get it back if you adjust something. If something doesnt look right and the skimmer has been running for a while try cleaning everything first before you try adjusting the gate valve and air valve.

I know mine is the larger version but here are some pictures to show the bubble size with the settings I have it at.

Heres something else you might find helpful. Some owners have experienced problems with the skimmer creating a large air pocket in behind the gate valve resulting in erratic behavior (although this has never happened to me). To fix it they've installed a riser pipe between the box and gate valve like this.
