the ballasts say m80 which would mean they drive 250w bulbs no?

Brett,
Im thinking, I have no experience with AM, but these things will melt out your retna in no time...

i'm sure they are bright. the AM reef flex ballasts are great for ppl that want to run radium bulbs properly (true m80/m81).

I just see 150w bulbs in your post and now that I look closer I see that the ballast says right on it 250W DE.

The only difference I can see is on the 250watt systems it reads "250 Cube" as apposed to "150". But both read 250watt.

That is so weird...

These are awesome MH though...I've used these in the past and really liked the simplicity of the design because you have so many options for DIY mounting or retrofit.

Just looked at the J&L website, the 150watt aqua medic fixture has the same 250 watt, 150 cube ballasts as well. Don't know, I'm sure someone will step up and clear this up.

i don't think a 250w ballast would fire a 150w bulb at all i'm sure it's just a weird case of how they label the things.

bump?
