I've considered the Tunze Long to replace my Tiger Shark.

What do you think about the Tunze Long cleaner?

Thanks!

It's worth the $40 that I spent on it. I like this unit cause its easy to use and it will not scratch up your glass. I would say this is one of the best product for 2014.

I also have this unit on two of my tanks and they are awesome... very small chance to scratch the glass (although there is still a chance).
Also not afraid to go near or in the sand.

I think tunze could have made the unit float, however as it really sucks when it drops while trying to move sides...
Also careful with the blade as its quite sharp.

My 45g cube is made of 10mm starfire glass.

Will the Long version will be sufficient?

Just needed to ask because I had the Hammerhead for my old 120g with 10mm glass but it didn't work well which is why I bought the Tigershark for my cube.

My tank is a 120g 12mm starphire glass and it works well.. Obviously its not 100% bulletproof and it has flaws but in my opinion its much better than any magnet with a pad on the back of it...

The one flaw is the fact that it doesn't float and my tank is 2" deep and the stand is very high, edge is at about 6'1- 6'2, so its a bitch to remove the screen and reach to the bottom...

But yea to answer your question, the long version will work very well and i haven't had the meet of a strong magnet yet so I don't regret buying it...

All my other magnets make perfect egg crate stands though with a little glue :)

Curved glass like on a bowfront? Or curved like a RSM 130 at the corner?

The magnet has two points of contact only so i will work really well on curved glass of a bow front but I don't see.it working very well on a 90 degree curved edge, nano might work to a certain extent.
