May, 2012: Alive and well at 4 years in the tank.

May 2014: Doing well at 6 years old now. Still growing slowly.

I had one for well over a year in my reef and it was doing very well. Added a small blueface angel who harassed the majestic until one day the majestic punctured itself badly on a birdsnest colony and died due to the wound.

Died. A couple of months shy of 8 years in the tank. Cause of death - unknown. No other fish illness or introductions associated with the death.

Bummer!
 

So sad; even after 8 years... Does anybody know what the life expectancy of a Navarchus angel is?

If Pomacanthus is anything to go by, 10-30 years.

Oh that sucks my friend. Sorry for your loss. It truly was a stunning fish.
