Riverfront is technically gone but when he was shut down he went and worked at Concepts for a while. When Concepts stopped carrying livestock the Riverfront guy left and started a new store downtown somewhere. Call concepts and ask the name / location. I went and saw his store and its small and I was taken back by the prices - not cheap.

Its called Fin Gallery . Went to check it out , seen who was running it and will never be back .

Aaaahhhhh, so the Riverfront guy has the new Fin Gallery?

Can I ask..what ended up happening to Big Al's, anyway? Was it just poorly run, or did they get a really bad rep? I'll guess high prices, and a bad reputation??

Poorly run IMO and way over priced on the coral end , no up to date equipment. Not sure many reefers returned after initial visits to the nw location . I only went there because it was around the corner from concepts and to laugh at the coral pricing

Curious if much has changed regarding Calgary stores since the last post?
Is it still pretty much:
Wai's
Concepts
Oceans
Golds
and Pisces?

I notice there is a new one Francos Aquariums. Can anyone give me any positive or negative experiences from there? Has anything much changed from what has been posted above(has anywhere gotten better, or worse)?
I also have a question that I never asked before. Do any of you have much experience buying livestock online? If so..where is good, or bad to buy from(Live Aquaria for example)?

Any other thoughts on shops in Calgary/Alberta/Western Canada?
