Yes each. New or used

Mike-fish 01-17-2013 04:31 AM

how big of tank are you setting up?

fishyfishster 01-17-2013 04:35 AM

200 gallon, but why is that relevant?

Mike-fish 01-17-2013 04:45 AM

that makes a lot more sense i looked at your old threads/ posts and saw a 50g and started to wonder what you were up to. that's still a lot of flow for a 200g even. i run about 2400 total in return pumps for my 270

scubadawg 01-17-2013 04:56 AM

Oh this isn't flow for a tank. It's just feed pumps for my massive skimmer

Mike-fish 01-17-2013 05:03 AM

no kidding massive mind if i ask what skimmer you got or is it diy

fishyfishster 01-17-2013 05:06 AM

its a bashsea 12"-30

got it from a guy that was selling it on kijiji.

subman 01-17-2013 05:08 AM

Rofl that's where I got the Rio pumps from. They were originally running that very skimmer!

subman 01-17-2013 05:14 AM

That skimmer is a beast I was looking at it when I picked up the pumps.. Looked wicked.

Mike-fish 01-17-2013 05:16 AM

i'm not very familiar with them but don't those pumps need to be needle wheel impeller equipped or does it have a separate air injection system

its a beckett skimmer. doesnt need a needle wheel.

its got some twisted diffusers that mix air and water that give it 100% efficiency

Mike-fish 01-17-2013 05:19 AM

makes alot more sense now

fishyfishster 01-17-2013 04:13 PM

Bump a rump

sphelps 01-17-2013 04:25 PM

You could buy two speedwave 2640gph for $279.00+ tax each from Concept.

http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=93543

DC controllable pumps so you can dial down the voltage to be closer to 2000gph if needed.

fishyfishster 01-17-2013 04:40 PM

Thanks for the advice. But I'm not really wanting to spend 600 dollars on pumps

Mike-fish 01-17-2013 07:36 PM

why not a pair of sedra 20000 it would run you about 300$

fishyfishster 01-17-2013 07:44 PM

They use up a shat load of power. I'd prefer not to if I can find better option

When I had my 240gal cube my return pump put out 3200gph plus I had an mp40 in there and it was tons of flow

fishyfishster 01-19-2013 08:08 PM

But I need these pumps for a skimmer. Unrelated to flow

rhody605 02-03-2013 03:24 PM

Any luck finding the pumps you need?

LoL. I had my suspicions as well...the giveaway was when he complimented himself in his old journal. His ego gave him away... :suspicious:

Yeah, classic example of low Emotional Intelligence. Can't stand seeing any "unfairness", yet will take advantage themselves and even brag about it. No empathy and low self regulation abilities. Easy to spot them on forums, though.

Mods, this thread should be moved to the "exposed photographer" forum and scheduled for deletion... again.

Nice pics though
