I must be doing something right...

I picked up a rbta from another member some time ago. When I got it, it looked fake, white at the bottom and bright neon orangey color tips. I've noticed over the last few weeks the base is coloring up, browny/green and the tips are looking more pinkish now. It's also finally growing. Its hosting my 2 clowns, ive seen them feeding it, so hopefully over time it will turn to its proper color. Nice to see after so many struggles that things are looking happy! Just thought I'd share

Pics?

I do have pics, will have to upload on my work computer tomorrow and post.

Greg, are you crazy?? You are selling stuff cuz its gotten to big! I'd say that's awesome!

Jason, are you feeding yours? Lighting? My other one in my 55 has tripled in size since I got it, but no longer has bubble tips. These nems need to switch tanks, but I'm leaving them alone. Both are happy!

It his in the back for a couple weeks so it didn't get fed when it reappeared it was white:cry:
It's sitting right under my radions now the clews feed it daily. it seems healthy Just white lol

I'm sure it will color back up now that it's back under the lights and the clowns are feeding. I got mine in juneish and it's just now looking better. In the tank it came out of, it was in the middle of the tank under the lights and the lady was feeding it as well.

What are you feeding it Sheena?

It's moments like these that keep us going :-) Of course, there are those other moments too. The ones that make you want to stab your eyeballs out and drink test kit reagents.. but let's focus on the positive!

I feed frozen, mysis, brine shrimp, plankton, cyclops, and tonight I added marine cuisine. I don't direct feed the nem, but the clowns grab food and feed it, mostly mysis. Previous to me it was getting nls pellets.

This was yesterday

And this morning - different lighting in the tank, but with the clown to show the comparison. I know its not perfect, but its much much better.

Very good job!!
It's grown so much than when I saw it in person.

Coralgurl 10-30-2012 04:12 AM

Thanks! It's getting better and bigger. Funny how all of a sudden you notice changes.

Yes.... Those moments.... Those much to common moments... *Eye twitch*

Thought I'd update. This nem is much more red and green but still lighter at its mouth. Plus it recently split in 2. Bad pics but color is accurate!
