New Dive Pictures

All the following pictures were taken while diving last week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The water temp was 86 F, visibility 60-80 ft+ with the reefs full of sea life.
I love it there!
Thanks for looking, enjoy.

First let's start with some Stone Fish - True Masters of Disguise.

When diving with these guys around one must be careful where you put your hands.

It was often hard to get good pictures because there were fish fry everywhere and they would get in the way.

Here is some babies hanging around the protective spines of some urchins

When I first saw Gorgonians like this I thought it was interesting they seemed to have stripes
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...gorgstars1.jpg

But upon closer inspection they were just swarmed with Brittle Stars

Thanks Wayne, the camera is a Sony with an Ikelite case. Very compact and takes surprisingly decent pictures.

Nice shots! I was out that way diving Cabo and Purto Vallarta back in Feb and the vis was less than 20'. But in PV the whales were singing like crazy! That was pretty cool. I bet that sure beats diving Minnewanka eh?

My pleasure, I wish I could get more diving in as well. I usually only get out for 2-3 weeks per year.

Feb is probably the worst time to dive in Vallarta. The best diving there is actually in the summer between June - Sept.

Awsome pics!

So many amazing nps gorgs....
In the last 5 min of looking at your pics you have caused my desire to setup another azoox tank to resurface.

Thank you and damn you at the same time!! ;)

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoyed the pictures. I hear so often that the diving in PV sucks but I beg to differ. You just need to go to the right areas with the right dive shop. The diving in Vallarta is what I refer to as "up close & personal" because you need to get close into the reefs to see all the colors because from a distance it just looks like a bunch of rocks. If you go to Puerto Vallarta and want to go diving I suggest using Twin Dolphins dive shop, I do not recommend using Vallarta Adventures unless you like the "cattle boat" type trips. Feel free to contact me any time for more information, details & who to talk to.

Patrick you are too funny.

There are a ton of really cool NPS corals growing in the Vallarta area, I barely scratched the surface with my photos but I'm glad you enjoyed the show.
