So my wife Irene just became a Canadian Citizen!!!

Sure we had to get up at 6:40am (went to bed at 4:00am) in order to get to court on time, but Irene was sworn in this morning and is now a Canadian citizen. Since both my daughters were born in Canada, that makes my whole family Canadian finally:wink:

Just thought I'd share.

Anthony

I was excited last summer when the kid got Philippine citizenship and the wife also got hers back through recent dual citizenship option as there's restrictions on foreign property ownership.

reefwars 01-27-2012 11:42 PM

congrats eh!!! ;)

SeaHorse_Fanatic 01-28-2012 02:41 AM

Have instructed Irene to end every sentence and phrase with "eh" or risk having her Cdn. citizenship revoked. It's the LAW!

Veng68 01-28-2012 03:23 AM

But she is from Malaysia........... they end with "la"........ so should she say "laeh" or "ehla"? :)

Cheers,
Vic

My mother's and and father must have gone through that decades ago. I take for granted being Canadian being of the second generation born here. But it's really a big deal to become a citizen. Congratulations to your wife and family, Anthony!

Way to go, my wife is renewing her landed status, kind of stupid, you think once you get it you shouldn't have to renew it....next getting her to be sworn in as a Canadian as well..once again, a huge congratulations to your family.
