Hello,
Iv been keeping an eye on this site for awhile now, I finnaly decided to join. There great information on this site and it also features some beautiful tanks. ECTTT It features a rimless look with starfire. Im also in the middle of building a Fish Only Tank Which will be used as a QT tank. Got the tank in a few weeks ago,
Just collecting some equipment, Almost done, So its time for the dreaded tank transfer. Looks great so far, if I could make a suggestion....add your frags and fish slowly. One to two fish at a time and the same with the frags. Imo a tank can be severely stressed when too much is added at once. I know it takes longer but your loss's will be less. After going through a major crash to what I am attributing to adding too much at once I will only add one or two at a time now.Good luck on your tank, will be watching for updates..

I made a classic mistake of trying to aquascape with Rock..I realized now its not about making your Rock look good.
I had nowhere to place my sps. So I decided to rescape my tank for corals instead of rocks. I got some dry rock from ;ecoreefer, Underwaterloo. Its not reef tank related.

SO the QT is setup.
It’s scary because there is no biological filtration on it. So I bought an ammonia detector and some prime. I hope the ammonia stays somewhat locked. I am not going to have the time to do water changes every day. The hypo is working great. It’s been about a week and almost all the white spots are gone. I still have a pair of clowns in the display tank and it seems like they have immunity to the ich. I’m wondering if I should pull them out an QT them also. The reason I haven’t done this already is because the more the fish in the QT the larger the bio load in a tank without barely any bio filtration. http://i713.photobucket.com/albums/w...ha_gwan/qt.jpg My LEDS came in also. I should be excited but I’m not, With my ICK problem and I’m getting attacked by algae. It was time to upgrade the skimmer. My Bubble magus bm100 did not seem like it was dealing with the newer tank.
So Iv gotten the ER rs135 and the ER rs180 The 180 has a bad pump But with some research it seems the 180 would be too large for my tank.. Id still like to keep it as a back up if I can find a pump for it cheap. Anyone know a deal? ill take some pics or a vid 2moro |
