Will trade for muscles

Zoos maybe ?

Seems IA is not sending three guys as promised, just two, so with Barry that will be three. Sounds ugly for a 230g tank.

They are coming Sat around 3:30PM.

Anyone able to help out?

Aquattro 11-15-2003 01:21 AM

Only three would be pushing it to safely move that.

EmilyB 11-15-2003 01:24 AM

Good to know Brad....you gonna leave now....

Right after dinner, but it's a long swim and then a longer walk! Could be a while

martym 11-15-2003 02:51 AM

Canadian Man 11-15-2003 02:53 AM

EmilyB 11-15-2003 02:56 AM

Went good. They sent a fellow named "Doug" (longer haired guy) who knew exactally what they were doing.
I had a guy from my work come and help out.
All I remember is taking the tank out of the van and thinking "Dam this this is Frikking HEAVY" I was scared

Went well though.

EmilyB 11-15-2003 03:06 AM

Bob, Barry said he didn't want you having a heart attack here.

So you did it with three then Jon?

Quinn 11-15-2003 03:10 AM

Deb how did your IA experience go anyways? People are still complaining on RC as usual, I'm wondering if he gives Canadians special treatment.

martym 11-15-2003 03:17 AM

Whoops, I looked at where Brad lived not Emily  Would need a lot of goverment workers paddling to get those old ferries over the mountains

Delphinus 11-15-2003 03:22 AM

I can help out. See you at 3:30

EmilyB 11-15-2003 03:22 AM

He complains bitterly that those US people need a life....

I expected a bit of a delay on delivery, not a hassle for me. He spent a lot of time with us in the shop, so I'd say yah, he was kind to the locals, as it should be...

EmilyB 11-15-2003 03:23 AM

WHOA....thanks Tony !

I'm a government worker....we don't paddle no damn boats over no damn mountains! Union rules !

AJ_77 11-15-2003 04:58 AM

Deb - I'll call you tomorrow afternoon, K? It's close enough to 4:00...

Canadian Man 11-15-2003 05:03 AM

3 would be impossible for the average size persons. There were 4 of us and it was quite a haul. We took 4 brakes and it took us 30 minutes to get it from the driveway to the basement in the tank room.

Have fun

Haha, don't thank me now, thank me when it's time for me to move my 2 ... ooops I mean 3 tanks to our new house (not 'til April though so there's time to come up with creative excuses! ... oops I mean "plenty of time to block off your calendar.")

No seriously it beats getting my house ready for sale... Did I ever mention I have "work avoidance issues" ... ??

I'll try to be there by 3:30 or so. Better get the vitamin-I (Ibuprofen) ready, or the vitamin-B-liquid (mmmm beer) for the back-aches to follow after...

EmilyB 11-15-2003 05:57 AM

np Tony..did I mention a clam as payment....

kari 11-15-2003 03:17 PM

The last time I moved a 230 into my basement I rented suction cups. They really helped and we were able to move it with only two of us. That sucker was so heavy that it is still there in my last house.

Do you want more help? I'll split the clam with Tony

Kari

I will actually be here waiting for Sears to deliver my new recliner/swivel rocker. Then I will recline and rock, and sip a recreational beverage while you work.

OK, what's a .ctf file?

Stretch 11-16-2003 12:55 AM

winrar or winzip doesn't open it

Stretch 11-16-2003 01:16 AM

.ctf is................ "MGI PhotoSuite 1.0/8.0 Album File "

So we need that program, or a different file

EmilyB 11-16-2003 02:08 AM

That's right Jonny, it's yours laid on its side. Pretty neat, and not as heavy as you described it.

Canadian Man 11-16-2003 04:45 AM

Well Alan. Have you looked in the mirror latley? You got muscles man!

Mine must have been heavier

AJ_77 11-16-2003 05:13 AM

Yeah, I saw that pic of me and Barry showing our huge "muscles" to the camera as the tank came up the steps out of the garage...

BTW, does yours have 3/4" euro-bracing? that's gotta be another 200 lbs easy...

ABreefkpr 11-16-2003 05:28 AM

Looking good Deb. Can't wait to see pic of it full. Can't wait to post pics of a certain 155 bowfront. I've added VHO, painted the stand and back of the tank and have been waiting of other goodies. Enough about that though I can wait to see everything finished.

Keith

christyf5 11-16-2003 05:43 AM

Looks awesome Em!!! I was gonna send you some mussels but I suppose I'm too late

C:)

EmilyB 11-16-2003 07:39 AM

Yes Alan, it had 3/4" eurobracing

Keith, I can't WAIT to see the 155g. We are always walking over there to top off and it's not there....

 Christy...your clam is wrinkled...heheheh

OK Deb I'm here, do I win a prize for heading to the east side of the board, perhaps a pair of snowshoes would be good

That tank looks  very very , so does all that white stuff on the ground around the outside of your house

So I guess I can hang out awhile and give it a try over here, as we don't get the "wrinkled clam" talk to often on the Vanc. forum

Christy, you should get that looked at  and I have 20/20 vission

Keep us posted Deb, would like to see lot's more

Oh yeah, and I would have dropped by and given you a hand with the tank, but you didn't post your address Deb
