Clams are an expensive addiction. To support this vice you either have to be rich or work in a LFS

I'm waiting for doug to start the 'SPS junky' thread :)

"*-edited for cleanliness-*". Ooops i mean clams. he....he he... I really do love them, awesome pics too! Unfortunately I have none as I am only at about month 4-5 of tank life so too early for owning one. Will as soon as it is safe!

the marine apprentice 05-08-2010 04:51 PM

i have been goining through some serious withdrawls but i am waiting for the new tank to get more. but here are a few pics of my clams when they were in my tank

I don't recall the last time an SPS colony cost me $90  Not saying they're not worth it, just noting that they can be a bit pricy is all :)

globaldesigns 05-11-2010 04:24 PM

OK Doug, just admit it... You are just an addict of everything.

Great clams!!! Benefits to working at a LFS

I know I am Rick, but RA (reefers anonymous) seemed a little vague, given that this is a reef site:wink:
actually almost half of my clams came from other canreefers(fortunate to be in the right place at the right time)......

Wow, okay those are expensive colonies. Unless they are massive I typically stick to the $40-$60 colonies :-)

Anyway.. less chatter, more pictures!

I'm not an addict, but here are my clams anyway :-)

Yeah my regal tang has continued his relentless attack in his quest for clam sushi. This one seems hit the hardest. I keep moving it around the tank but to no avail. I haven't decided what I'm going to do about it yet.

I do need to scrub those hydroids off though, I wonder if they're an irritant to the clam?
