Calgary Frag swap/ BBQ?
 

Ok so as we all know the frag swap has been relocated to my place and the original plan was for it to be on the 25th of July. The response to the original date wasnt huge so Im not sure that this is the best date. To me it doesnt really matter what day it is, it just needs to be nice outside...because an indoor party would be a little cramped in my humble little abode. So we all need to hope for good weather.:lol: Red Coral has donated three door prizes...Im not allowed to tell you all what they are, but I can say that two are dry good prizes and one is a coral.

First thing I guess is, we need to figure out A) is there enough interest in going ahead with the original day of Saturday July 25? Or B) should I post an alternate date of Saturday Aug 1?

I apologize for making you guys do this but I need everyone who posted that they were interested in the swap to post here again. If you can include which day works best for you, or if either or neither work for you let me know...If the original date is a go, then we all need to git a going with posting available frags etc....The 25th is 12 days away!:surprise:

I can only go if it's earlier in the day on the 25th, or late in the day on the 1st. Working a night on the 25th and a day shift on the 1st.

do we have to bring frags. the ones i have attempted wont be grown out enough by then?

No no...lets make this clear...you dont have to have frags to come...this is a reef meet/frag swap/bbq/chance to get together with other reef junkies and talk fish, type thing.

Ok due to the overwhelming numbers we will be staying with the original day Of next Saturday July 25. Thats right...one week from today!

Heres the scoop.
Everyone that has something to offer up for trade needs to post what they have available(with pics if you can) here in this thread. All trades/sales will be made by PM, by the interested parties(this way we dont have a bunch of needlessly stressed corals sitting here in bags unwanted). I will re-post what I have available as well.

Those that are coming need to pm me to confirm (and to get my address), so I can get a feel for how many will be here.

Does anyone have any gorgs to trade? I have a frag off my ribbon gorg I would love to trade for another gorg. (pics in tank journal)

Also have pom-pom xenia and GSP if anyone is interested pm me. I have one frag left of christmas favia to trade as well.

Doug I am in for the 25th for a short stop by....No Pics right now except the tank shots in my build thread but I will have the following for trade;

2 - 2"+ pink birdsnest frags
1 - small GSP - Unmounted
2 - Zoa frags (have to get some pics) - Unmounted
1 - frag 5 heads neon green trumpets

I have a few things I could bring if there are any new tank start ups looking for some easy first corals.:wink: Cash or Trades considered!

I have Anthelia, a couple Kenya Tree, Green Brown Palys, A Large frag of Teal green elephant ear mushroom(~3-4"), 2 small head frag of frogspawn, small green fuzzy mushroom (small piece of cabbage coral free to whoever wants it!). I could also frag a piece of Spaghetti Leather and Finger Leather if anyone is interested. I have a Toadstool frag that is attaching to a small rock. See pic of mother colony in FTS. (Can get a pic if anyone is interested.

I also have a pearl bubble coral that is getting far too large. Not sure if I can frag it in half or if I will need to sell it whole but I may be interested in trading that for a hammer coral or a smaller bubble coral or other LPS? This was one of my first corals so I am kinda attached :redface:but...let me know if anyone is interested.

Okay, so as far as frags go I have 4 peices of green/brown birdsnest, 5 frags of green digitata, and 3 zoa frags (1 green with 5 or 6 polyps, 1 green crossets with approx 15 polyps and an green crosset and orange polyp with approx 20 polyps). I know nothing too exciting, but hey ya never know.

I'll try to get some photos up in the next little while

i cant make it but i may be dropping some FW stuff of at dougs for someone coming into town. if this is the case i may (if dougs kind enough to let me) leave some frags aswell. i have no pics but will try tommorow. i will have some zoa and some sps, maybe a hairy mushroom (great alternate host for true perks), maybe some corky finger gorg.

i have interest in most anything. however i would really like to get my hands on 1-2 pieces of tabling SPS. i would also never turn down zoas that i dont have.

I have a few frags for trade, nothing special as I have been busy with a tank transfer lately. If anyone is interested let me know.
