Reef get together

Christy will be here tentatively for the Aug 15-17 weekend. We'd like to do up a soiree for her here, likely Sat nite and also some tank tours that day or Sunday. I'll also need someone to take her to Wai's...

All welcome, and more details to follow.

AJ_77 07-17-2003 01:49 PM

WOO-HOO! (Does she know we're pretty darned boring??)

I'm not afraid of Wai's!

Canadian Man 07-17-2003 02:22 PM

Sounds GREAT. Hopefully I will have something to show here regaring the 230 by them

Bob I 07-17-2003 02:34 PM

This is just to make everyone happy. I am never in town on weekends in the summer. (that is when I enjoy my real life)

TANGOMAN 07-17-2003 04:04 PM

We know Bob. It is planned that way... Ahhh, just kiddin' ya !

Delphinus 07-21-2003 05:23 PM

I should be around that weekend. Count me in!!! Hey Christy want to show off YOUR tank before then? I'm in Nanaimo next week.

Buccaneer 07-21-2003 06:52 PM

I should be around as well ... work Noon to 5 on weekends though at the showhome so before or after would work for me

Cheers

Quinn 07-21-2003 08:15 PM

Is everything OK Bob ? ... are you feeling like people dont like you or something ? ... just so you know in normals circles your post might indicate that you really dont like to interact with others or just looking for attention ( negative or positive ) ????? ... very disturbing verbage

Well, are we reallythat normal   . I just wanted folks to know that in the summer I am away every weekend.

As to verbiage, I would not be too concerned about an innocent post. I have always found it to be best not to read to much into a post from someone I have not even met.
:BIG:

Veng68 07-22-2003 01:35 AM

Hey......... I may be staying till August 23rd so why don't we combine it so that you don't have to go on another tank/store tour :D

I'll keep you posted.

Cheers,
Victor

EmilyB 07-22-2003 01:54 AM

That would be great Victor ! Then you can hit the party !

It'll be held probably 5-whenever. Everyone, bring your own beverage.

christyf5 07-22-2003 01:58 AM

Hey cool! I need to pay attention to this forum more often. Whee!

Hey Em, will there be cake?

EmilyB 07-22-2003 01:59 AM

Maybe some brownies....

So you get the attention you were seeking  ... and the use of the  emoticon was " playfull & innocent or just your sense of humour perhaps " ??? ... ahhh OK ...

christyf5 07-22-2003 02:05 AM

Oh you dirty dog you!!!

EmilyB 07-22-2003 02:09 AM

Aw, our wheelchairs.....

Also, forgot to mention, of course spouses are welcome if they are remotely interested in hanging out with fish geeks....

So anyone else who plans to attend or just drop by, or whatever, kindly let me know so we have some idea.

I may need you to bring lawn chairs.

kari 07-22-2003 03:28 AM

Sounds like fun. I am about 70.3% sure that I can make it. Work seems to mess up any plans I make more than 7 days ahead.

Quinn 07-22-2003 03:35 AM

Kari, are you sure you've done the math properly? What about the 0.043%/day possibility your tank could explode on you? And don't forget the 0.0000017% chance the Iraqi military will invade NE Calgary? I think you should check your numbers...

christyf5 07-22-2003 06:36 AM

70.3% is good enough for me! See you there Kari!

TANGOMAN 07-22-2003 08:53 PM

I might come. But then again, I might not...of course if beverages were supplied then that could change everything :drinking: .
Us folk's in the south could "pool" a ride, drink your liqour cabinet dry, and puke in your neighbours flowerbeds. Then ya' can throw us all in a cab, or the back of a police van, and apologize to Christy for the behavior of the guys from the south side of the city...
My weekends are usually as open as my weedays, as I have no real life. Not even in the summer...

Canadian Man 07-22-2003 09:12 PM

You should get away more on the weekends Doug!

christyf5 07-22-2003 09:17 PM

Haha, no apologies necessary. I'd probly be in the paddywagon with ya, wiping my mouth on my sleeve

I'm not so good with calculus so I guessed a number just like in the school days. As for the attack, I'm more worried about the teenagers with the machetes then those silly Iraqi military guys
The odds are going up from somewhere since another day has passed.

Quinn 07-23-2003 12:42 AM

There was an article in the National Post the other day about teenagers and house parties. Us young people can be pretty destructive.

Cheers,
Victor

EmilyB 08-02-2003 04:54 AM

We will be having some demo's:

Christy teaching me how to take a pic.

EmilyB 08-02-2003 06:08 AM

Going back to a real early fish party, we are suggesting you wear something fishy.

For Barry, this was a fish potholder pinned on his shirt. I have an ick shirt I wear.

Whatever...

I imagine a drive back from Victoria in one day had enough firestorms inside the van....

Yes, 16th we rock !

Jack 08-04-2003 03:30 AM

What firestorm are you guys talking about?

christyf5 08-04-2003 05:48 AM

Christy :)

AJ_77 08-04-2003 05:49 AM

Rolling into Kamloops yesterday...
http://members.shaw.ca/AJ_77/Kamloops_smoking.jpg
The fire was supposed to be 50k away, but the mtn across from town went up just the day before, and was still smouldering. We met couple that had been evacuated from one valley over and didn't know if their home was still there or not...

We found that our hotel room was full with a tour mob so we booked it for home, in the dark and smoke... Fun drive. Then we hit the smoke from the Jasper fire (choke) around Lake Louise - very thick. I was actually glad to see flat land again, and clear skies.

But tonight we seem boxed in by smoke a little...

That's wickedly scary Alan.

We've been watching the fires pretty closely as our daughter lives in the Crowsnest Pass.

EmilyB 08-10-2003 03:38 AM

EmilyB 08-10-2003 06:01 AM
