I absolutely have to say how pleased I am about a recent purchase I made. On Saturday I made a quick stop in to RC for supplies and low and behold my dream fish, a magnificient foxface, was in store.

I've been looking for one of these fish for 5+ years now, I have been on tons of lists, etc. with no luck. I am so thrilled that everyone at RC made it possible for me to bring this fish home on Saturday.

5 years?? :eek: Holy crap, had I known, I would have told you each time I saw one, I think I've seen 2-3 in the last 4-5 months!! (Sorry!!!) Well, at least,the important thing is, NOW you have him in your tank. :) Good luck!

They are so beautiful, if I had a bigger tank it would be on my wish list too.

I've seen probably 2 since I got back to Calgary, but both times they were already sold and just waiting upon pickup. This guy is awesome though, a nice size too, about 5-6" in length.

How come he looks so different in the acclimation bucket as opposed to in tank?

Youre very welcome Catherine. Im happy he will eventually be in your care and in a tank truly big enough for him. I was also happy that it didnt take to long trying to get him out of that tank...I was worried it would take awhile. He/she looks great:becky:

They can change color and pattern depending on their "mood". They can go from being normally colored to almost black in a couple seconds.

Not to hijack or anything, but is it just the magnificent that changes, or does the normal Foxface that see all the time change colors too??

I wasn't sure what the draw was to this fish. I always thought they were ugly, but the color changing thing is cool.
