Give me your brains!

So I am suffering from the worst case of artist block (can't get anything right!) to date. I need ideas. No charge for them...give me your ideas and I'll get them done and post them on here. Then, if you guys want the original drawings we can figure something out...

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALP

Keri 02-12-2009 02:38 AM

What kind of subjects are we talking about here? I don't think I've seen any of your art.

Rbacchiega 02-12-2009 02:40 AM

I like drawing anything with a sort of new school edge. Or portrait work. But I need to be able to draw anything. So fire em out! LOL

Keri 02-12-2009 02:42 AM

Find a pic of a canreefer, and draw them. (not me!!)

karazy 02-12-2009 02:43 AM

what kind of art do you liek to do?

a few suggestions..

a really detailed closeup of a snail :P

a very closeup of a fingerprint

a reptilian eye

a clarion angel

an old pair of converse shoes

an abandoned beach landscape

lobsterboy 02-12-2009 02:44 AM

what about, a giant octopus climbing calgary tower and then in the sky you have a guy shooting rocket ships out the plams of his hands. lighting blots and ninja stars in there too. LOL

Pan 02-12-2009 03:00 AM

How about the face of stephen harper slowly melting off of the face of a 10 dollar bill that a homeless person is letting drift out of his pocket.

levi1803 02-12-2009 03:02 AM

You can draw my dog

lobsterboy 02-12-2009 03:15 AM

i do have this reocurring dream of where I am dressed in a grimace suit
(purple guy from Micky D's) and some how I end up in jurassic park, surrounded by dinosaurs, and then it just plays it self out from there.
its funny cause it usually only happens when I eat 4 or 5 banana's and watch some weird AL just before bed.

fishoholic 02-12-2009 03:59 AM

I thought this picture would make a good art project.

I can see it now...wicked up angle perspective big ol' T-rex and a mean triceratops (we don't have to let people know that they are veggie eaters)

Lobsterboy is officially my hero!

Thanks for the flower refference...I'd love to try and paint that one day...or charcoal.

Zylumn 02-12-2009 06:15 AM

I had a friend that was an incredible artist and I contracted him to do a painting for me but after 6 months he gave me my deposit back. If you are willing to try It is morbid but it has a neat perspective.

- To start off close your right eye and look out your left eye seeing your nose etc. Now consider yourself lying down with a clouded sky visible with your one eye. Under the sky you can see a small hill with the remnants of a medieval battle that had taken place. You can't see your stomach but you see a lance or sword sticking straight up from your body. And visible over the bridge of your nose a vulture with your other eye in it's beak.

Morbid but WTH.

Rbacchiega 02-12-2009 06:21 AM

well, I can't say it'll turn out exactly as you picture it, but I agree...rad perspective. More of a wide angle frame rather than a vertical. I'll give it a shot...thanks!

I've got the ground work for the octopus/tower/jesus scene...working on hard lining and everything like that tomorrow.

Karazy, with the angel I'm going to take a page out of your book, do all colour subject and then gray background

Oh, and I've started the purple guy and dinsaurs too

you guys are ultra rad.

ULTRA

When needing a new perspective on things I like to go macro.
http://www.snaz.com/misumena/Misumena_vatia4a.jpg

Grab a magnifying glass, microscope or macro setting on a digital camera and look at everyday things from a new perspective.

If your still taking requests, draw me please any belly button that comes to mind. +1 for an outty!

Snaz 02-12-2009 08:11 AM

a closer view

double post :(

OCDP 02-13-2009 09:43 PM

ahahah lobsterboy, funny stuff.

Myka 02-13-2009 10:08 PM

If you are good, I would pay for a well done portrait of myself from a photo so I can frame the photo beside it.

Seriously, you have to do this one. I need to see this done! ahhahah.. or the grimace suit.. either way it should be interesting.

Rbacchiega 02-13-2009 11:57 PM

I kind of modified the original idea....took out the Calgary tower. But Jesus is TOTALLY firing rockets at the Octopus...

That's awesome, But I'm kind of curious out it plays out from there. I picture the dinosaurs being down with grimace thinking they might get some mickydee's .. Or are they those pesky velociraptors that sniff you out for a human and chow down? LOL

lobsterboy 02-14-2009 02:27 AM

well, its a bit more complicated, all the dino's are b-boys, and they all b-boyin it up, and then I stumbledout of the woods, and then the dino;s see me, and i am like OMG, b-boy dinosaurs, i try to act like i am supossed to be there by crumpin, but the arms in the suit are really stiff, and I cant get my arms in the air.
and thats when it gets bad.

Rbacchiega 02-14-2009 02:33 AM

that is possibly the most disturbing thing I have ever read.

(think Sean of the Dead ... I don't know why, but for some reason I felt compelled to share this here ... I don't really have a strategy for posting, I just go with my instincts..)

BlueAbyss 02-14-2009 03:12 AM

LOL OMFG you guys (and gals!) are too much...

I almost peed while reading this thread, thanks you all made my night.

So how about something architectural? But from a strange angle, like a 3/4 view of an old building (complete with graffiti) from a birds-eye angle?

Sorry, I have a thing for architecture in my own art :twised: Birds eye views are hard to get unless you can get onto the top of an adjacent building... no that wasn't me taking pictures from the top of the Regal Towers building in Saskatoon. Yes, the police already spoke with me... jeez, lay off!

Rbacchiega 02-14-2009 03:15 AM

Bird's Eye is probably the hardest angle for me to get. Thanks for all the help ladies and gents!

Sean of the Dead..great movie!

All cool ideas. Specially the ocean that you can keep adding to, you should market that

EDIT: Actually you should just patent the idea, and then take down any companies that try to market it even if the product they produce is amazing. Just 'cause you own the idea and could care less if they offer to sell you the company that produces said product... Just sayin', ya know... Alright I feel better.
