favorites anyone?

i was just wondering who everyones favorite fish in there tank was? most people like all of there fish but there is ussually one specific one that just stands out the best and there is ussually a fish that people dont like very much in there tank as well just wondering who those fish are out there for everyone?

I'd have to say my favourite is probably my cbb and probably the one fish i didnt like was a yellow tang i had because for some reason it just hated everything i added to my tank :(

My Rolands Damsel

fishoholic 12-15-2007 01:24 PM

My favorite is my lavender tang, not sure on the least fav., I gave my :twised: damsels away!

Tom R 12-15-2007 03:24 PM

It is hard to have just one favorite. All the fish in my tank have been selected to be included in my tanks because I liked them over anything else in the store.

My favorite is my Majestic Angels however my Orchid Dottyback and my Neon Dottyback give them a run for the title.

I like my Possum Wrasse the most in my tank. A close second is my Yellow Assesor. My least favorite would have to be my 6 line Wrasse.

skylord 12-15-2007 06:05 PM

My favorite right now is my Southern Blue Devilfish, with my rabbit a close second.

from the fish that i have kept at home, i would say volitan lion. beauty and venom? im down for that

I plan on keeping a coldwater tank for my two all time fave fish though. grunt sculpin (Rhamphocottus richardsonii) and spiny pacific lumpsucker (eumicrotremus orbis).

Myka 12-15-2007 06:25 PM

Cbb. :D

GreenSpottedPuffer 12-15-2007 11:50 PM

Hard to say I have one favorite but I guess maybe my Green Spotted Puffer. I have had him for a long time now. Personality wise though, I would say my Porcupine and Long Nose Butterfly. They are both so friendly. My porc lets me pet him on the back!

Psyire 12-16-2007 12:31 AM

My Atlantic Blue Tang

christyf5 12-16-2007 01:57 AM

It's not a marine fish but my favourite was an extremely agressive fresh water ray. I remember one day I threw 50 gold fish in with it thinking they'd last days. Came back in an hour and there were 2 left.

How do people do this with butterfly's all the time? ive seen lots of people talk about feeding there cbb by hand and now petting there fish? do people train them for this or do they just get comfortable enough that they dont freak out when you touch them or something? cause i think that'd be pretty sweet feeding a fish by hand

tang daddy 12-16-2007 04:25 PM

for me it's gobies not one in particular but they're all so funny in character!

teejay 12-16-2007 06:49 PM

favorite fish

My favorite fish is my Rhinopias Frondosa.
Most people don't even notice it in my tank even though it is the biggest fish in there.(due to it's purple coraline algea color)
Once I point it out people are amazed!

Back in the 80's, I had a tank full of fish that I handfed. My Passer King angel and Moorish Idol would nibble off my fingers. My snowflake moray, smooth horn shark and Volitan lion would grab squid and smelts out of my fingers. It was cool but fairly time consuming & your fingers smelled like seafood:wink: With the shark, it would grab the squid and suck it back bit by bit, forcing me to eventually let go before it's teeth reached my fingers. I was young & foolish, so I wouldn't recommend doing this with possibly dangerous fish nowadays.

I have too many fish that I really like. Seahorses, angels, tangs seem to top my list.

Two fish species that are hard to keep but I really love are twin spot gobies and mandarin gobies.

It has to be "Moe"..the Blonde Naso Tang. He has a very like-able personality. Very laid back, relaxed...comes to see you whenever you are near the tank...never mean to any other fish in the tank. He's also absolutely flawless and has the biggest eyes....

Hmm...he's really grown. Time for a updated photo!

They don't have the greatest colors, or shape for that matter. But what personality. The lowely lawnmower blennie takes first prize in my tank.

agreed. I wish I had a covered tank, then a lawnmower blenny would be the first fish I put in my system improgress :(

Shipwreck 12-20-2007 05:41 PM

My favorite for personality was a vlamingi tang I had, but my favorite for color is a female bellus angel (I finally found a healthy one - pick him up on Sunday  )

fatpuffer 12-20-2007 06:03 PM

I like takifugu ocellatus. Unfortunately...he jumped out of the tank. Got spooked by something.

I really like My Blue chin trigger. He always looks good and is funny when he eats.

chandler 12-21-2007 01:07 AM

definetely me snowflake moray eel. no least fav though

Kronk 12-21-2007 06:03 AM

Combtooth Blenny, size of a Minnow but Huge personality.

tang daddy 12-21-2007 10:21 AM

niloc nice mystery how long have you had it?

niloc16 12-21-2007 06:46 PM

i've had it for about a year i guess, he was really small when i got him and now he is a little 'round' which is weird because he is intimidated around feeding time from the other fish so i dont know how he got so big.

WuHT 12-21-2007 11:55 PM

Favourite ever ? French Angelfish

Currently .. a puntacto butterflyfish.

richtg 01-06-2008 08:37 PM

I am also a big fan of the lawnmower blennie. Look like a Chinese dragon and cool to watch gumming the rockwork. I had a juvie spotted sweetlips that had tons of personality - it seemed to study me more than me/him.

kien 02-16-2010 12:18 AM

I found this thread while searching for a fish so I'm going to resurrect it from the dead

My Powder Blue tang, Purple Tang and Borbonius anthias are my three favourite fish in my current tank. I would consider them my "show fish".

Leah 02-16-2010 12:32 AM

Love my Ass essor's .....sorry that was special for Doug
My Solar wrasse and my Chrysurus angel and of course my 2 new purple firefish.

ponokareefer 02-16-2010 01:13 AM

For me, it's my midas blenny. It took me a long time to find one, and now, it is well worth the wait. It has such a nice personality, always out and about all the time, and it's color it very nice.

rocco134 02-16-2010 03:18 AM

Its my Bariene Tang for me

tlo 02-16-2010 04:18 AM
