Help

Sorry for posting again but I have a huge problem I don't have my DI filter because I let bv_reefer borrow it and I made spare water but now my sump level is to low and I don't want to use tap water what do I do do I just us regular tap water and put some tap water conditioner in like aqua plus?????

Delphinus 07-17-2007 10:33 PM

Well .... if it were me, I'd use tap water this time. If you're able, sometimes you can buy RO water from the grocery store (5g jugs) so that could be an option too maybe..

EmilyB 07-17-2007 11:40 PM

Don't put in a conditioner with aloe vera in it.

Mik_101 07-17-2007 11:44 PM

O **** I already did because their was a bunch of air bubbles coming through the inlet. Should I do a water change when I get my DI filter back. I geuss the water i put in now is temporary. Or should I top it of with what Delphinus said.

Logic:

1. You have no RO filter.
2. You have tap water.
3. Your sump level is getting low.

I know you require direction but this is just silly.

Oh man i should of ill get it tomorow and my hydrometer.
Do you guys use viniger to clean your hydrometers.

Renegade 07-18-2007 07:27 AM

no, there is really no need to clean it as water does not sit in it thus nothing ever grows in the water, rinse with tap water when finished so salt does not crystallize causing hand not to move properly.

but to be honest i never even rinsed mine when i used them just gave it a good wack pored it out and then filled it again untill nob moved freely.

Mik_101 07-18-2007 07:31 AM

OH MAN bv_reefer rinsed mine with viniger. Watch it be damged when I get it tommorow.

Good lawd, that's not doing much for my love of fried British foods. Leo Burdock's in Dublin will NEVER be the same
