Fantastic pics Sam! Thanks for sharing.

One question though. Do you feed your tank/corals?

Chin_Lee 01-02-2007 03:55 PM

Polyp extension galore

OK whats your secret with that PE? that looks great. The only tanks I've ever seen that type of PE are zeovit tanks.

Boy do you know how to pick those corals Sam. Awesome pictures.

Fantastic piece!

Glad you all like the pics. Unfortunately, I have no secret to reveal. My tank is pretty low tech. :) Just a dual 150W MH, a kalk reactor, a protein skimmer, an auto-topoff, a mechanic filter with carbon, 2 powerheads with hydors, and a sump running reverse photoperiod keeps this tank going. I don't really feed the corals religiously. Once in a while, I add a drop of Tahaitian Blend or Liquid Life and some baby brine shrimp (from jar). Other than that the corals get what I feed my fish which are flakes and cyclopeeze and sometimes frozen brine or mysis. Perhaps this coral just has large polyps by nature.

My acros used to extend their polyps like that but then my angel took to nipping at them. Now they only extend at night
