I am going to vancouver on monday and i will be in b.c. for two weeks...maybe i will pick up a couple of clowns on the way home

js

p.s. I am driving so do u think an airstone and a rubbermaid would suffice...???

mr_alberta 07-02-2005 05:09 PM

They should be ok with an airstone for the drive. Just make sure to keep the temperature constant as well.

How about PST? Don't Albertans get a break there too?
Which brings to mind...when Albertans order something mail order from B.C. do you have to pay PST in that situation?

Cheers, and sorry to fatpuffer for maintaining the off topic discussion.

Nope to what?
Nope you don't get a break? (I thought PST was 0% in Alberta).
Or...nope you don't have to pay PST on B.C. mail orders?

Cheers,

We don't pay PST. Just shipping and GST.

Huh. For some reason, that just doesn't seem right.

When I transport fish or corals long distances I make sure to have them inside a styrofoam box. If you want you can have the fish in a little rubbermaid/tupperware and then place the container in a styrofoam box along with your airstone etc. This is one way to prevent big temperature fluctuations....

(That's right, I have a styrofoam box in the back of my car for whenever I go livestock shopping).

You can buy a cheap small one probably from a canadian tire or home depot type store. Or you can walk into your local fish store during their fish order day and ask if you can have one of the boxes. -shrugs-.

That's where I got mine from.
