Just a quick poll to see who has sandbeds.

er... none of the above. have sand for appearance purpose only; less than 4", no sump.

Planning to set up a sump very soon, but with no sand so couldn't vote anyway as that is not included in the choices. :neutral:

No sand in my display or sump. I have ~6" worth in my fuge... mainly for my former jawfish. I'm thinking about taking that out and turning it into a combo fuge/frag tank in the near future.

I'm not sure I've ever seen sand in a tank and sump together. Not often anyway. Maybe the choice should be edited Bev?

I think it's maybe supposed to be sand in a fuge or something. :confused:

Sometimes you need sand for what you are keeping, apparently. Mostly.

I have enough sand grazing critters to warrant a non-tear down of my 230g for the moment.

I don't have a true bare bottom, and probably wouldn't just because of the look of it, but my rubble bottom trigger/softie tank comes close. The trigger poofs the bottom mostly, I don't bother much, the Euro-reef cleans up, I have little or no algae in there. I have huge crabs, snails and stars that spend a lot of time on the bottom.

I voted number 2 but really I have sand only in the display tank and none in my sump. :confused:

Yes. It's under 4" deep in my tank,
also have sand in my refugium,
and will have sand in my new sump.

actualy it was being pushed on RC back then to put the sand in the middle section of your sump where you frage grow out is suposed to be.. :rolleyes:

About 1 inch aragonite in the tank only, just LR in the sump.
