Very nice looking tank. Healthy looking Sail Fin Tang too.
What size is your tank? Are you using a calcuim reactor? Give us some specs man... Hope mine looks close to that in six months. well done. |
The tank is about 200 gallons. I dont use a calcium reactor yet. I keep my calcium up with water changes. Its a pretty basic system, besides maybe the plumbing of the ocean motions 4-way. Theres a sump that all the pipeing lead to and from. and a 40 gallon refugium. The lights are 3 400 watt MH. And 2-40w NO actinics.
|
That looks great  Got stock of LR. How often do you change water to keep up with calcium demand ?
|
Well i do changes maybe about every 2 months of about 70 of the 300 tottal gallons. theres so much water that my calcium level doesnt stray to far from normal.
|
What kind of lights are you running in the top picture. By that I mean what K are the bulbs? I really like the colors in that.

The top picture has all the lights on 2 400w 10000k and 1 400w 20000k in the middle along with 2 40w actinics.
The lower picture is just the actinics and 20000k |
WOW
Stunning.....

Great job on the tank. Can't wait to see it in another 6 months after your corals have a chance to grow into the tank.
