Ritteri pics

This is the hardest darn thing to try to photograph for some reason. Add two ocellaris fish who think the world's after them and you get like a 0.1% photo retention rate if you try to include them ... So anyhow here are 2 shots out of about 20 I took tonight, the only two worth not deleting that is .. need more practise I guess

Tony, your anemone looks fantastic. How 'bout a shot of the whole thing?

Delphinus 04-07-2005 03:44 PM

This is the most recent shot I have featuring the whole thing ... it's a little overexposed though I should try playing around with it a bit and see if I can fix that (or try some new shots!)

Thanks Tony, boy does it ever look healthy. I saw two in King Ed's the other day. I hope someone with some know how buys them.

christyf5 04-08-2005 12:26 AM

The pics look fantastic Tony! I can't get over the size of that anemone. Crazy!

Damn you people and your white sandbeds!!!

Coldwater 04-08-2005 01:06 AM

Theres people with WHITE sand beds?

Matt

Delphinus 04-08-2005 05:00 AM

Christy - the trick is to go at the sand with the turkey baster before you snap a pic ....

Actually that tank seems to be mostly OK, there are 3 conchs that turnover the top. There is the occasional cyano here or there. My 75 is nowhere near as clean right now.

As nice as THE pics are this anenome has to be SEEN to be believed!
How many of us have healthy Ritterii with a diameter close to half a meter?....

andestang 04-08-2005 06:57 PM

It still looks great Tony. You have to see it for real, then you really get impressed by the size and health.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 04-08-2005 07:09 PM

"We're not worthy. We're not worthy." <bowing frantically>

Beautiful & healthy. Doing a whole lot of somethings right Tony. Good name by the way

Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or just add to this one. Decided on the latter, hope that's copesetic. :)

You know, I don't care if it goes on murderous tank rampages - I still like it. And yes, it sure does look spectacular in person - but is it a bit "greener" or is that the camera?

Tarolisol 10-13-2006 05:43 AM

That looks awsome. Makes me almost want to setup a species only tank.

christyf5 10-13-2006 07:01 AM

Gonna cut it in half soon?

It does look greener, is it the lighting or camera?

Delphinus 10-13-2006 06:10 PM

You know, I don't really notice that? Must be a function of the camera settings. Maybe it's a white balance thing? I can try again.

OCDP 10-13-2006 06:12 PM

Looks great Tony.

Man, that is one healthy Riterri..

Snappy 10-13-2006 11:31 PM

You the man Tony! Lookin' good.

muck 10-18-2006 05:43 AM
