Emergency please help

Ive come home to find a worst case scenario. Controller is fried, heater stuck on, almost everyone is dead and the tank is as hot as a bathtub.

Survivors include a lieutenant tang, 6"; a file fish, 2", pair of perculas, and a 7" rabbitfish.

Is there anyone who can take these fish from me tonight, maybe in your sump for now? I need to get them out asap.

Plz call me 403 815 1038 - Tony

Delphinus 07-03-2015 03:54 AM

Setting up a temp tank for now.. Sigh.

If you need, my tank is still running and has no inhabitants. It's yours if you need it.

Oh no! I wish I could help!

Tony, call Jared. Im not home, but you can house them in my tanks for as long as you need.

So sorry to hear tony. Sounds like you have some options but I could yank my skimmer and make room in my sump if needed. Good luck.

Thanks all for the offers. Unfortunately in the end there are no survivors to give temporary housing for. My clownfish, filefish and carpets are moved to my 65 fowlr for now as well as one clam. Too early to predict whether the carpets and clam pull through.

I have a very large mess to clean up now.

Seems like some kind of electrical anomaly must have happened, both the controller and my Shaw modem are bricked. Just had to happen when the heater relay was in the on position. Spectacularly bad luck.

That really sucks Tony. Went through that a decade ago, it was awful. Not sure how I stuck with it after that.

This is horrible news! I a hope the survivors pull through. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Your controller and your modem? And no electrical appliances, TVs etc are damaged? Sounds like something to do with Shaw. Perhaps you should survey your neighbors.
